Terms of Service for Ask a Pro Video Call Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Ask a Pro video call service, which enables users to book and participate in consultations with professional designers. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Introduction
Welcome to InteriorNet ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ask a Pro video call service (the "Service"), which enables users ("you", "your", or "Customer") to book and participate in consultations with professional designers ("Designers"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. Definitions
- Customer: An individual using the Service to book a consultation.
- Designer: A professional offering consultation services via the platform.
- Consultation: A scheduled video call between a Customer and a Designer.
- Platform: The InteriorNet website and services through which the Service is provided.
3. Consultations
Booking and Payment
Customers can book consultations with Designers through our platform. Fees for consultations ("Consultation Fees") are specified at the time of booking and must be paid in full using the payment processing methods provided on our platform.
Payments must be completed through our platform, and Customers agree not to arrange or solicit payments outside of the Service. Violating this rule may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers may cancel or reschedule a consultation up to 48 hours before the scheduled session for a full refund.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the consultation will be charged in full.
Customers are allowed one cancellation, and one reschedule per consultation. Further requests may be declined and charged in full.
Non-Attendance
If a Customer fails to attend a scheduled consultation without prior cancellation or rescheduling, no refund will be issued.
4. Dealings with Designers
Vetting and Disclaimer
We conduct basic vetting of Designers, which may include reviewing portfolios, identity verification, and other checks as deemed appropriate. However, we do not guarantee their qualifications, skills, or suitability beyond these checks.
We do not warrant, endorse, or guarantee the advice, services, or recommendations provided by Designers.
Independent Contractors
Designers operate as independent contractors, not as employees or agents of InteriorNet.
Any engagement, agreement, or transaction between a Customer and a Designer is solely between them, and we are not responsible for any issues arising from such interactions.
Disputes
Any dispute between a Customer and a Designer must be resolved directly between them. While InteriorNet is not responsible for resolving disputes, we may offer informal mediation where appropriate.
5. Refunds and Compensation
Refunds are only available in accordance with our cancellation policy.
If a Designer fails to attend a booked consultation, the Customer will be offered a full refund or a free reschedule.
We are not liable for any loss, damage, or dissatisfaction arising from the advice or services provided by a Designer.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
We are not liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on advice given by a Designer.
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, our total liability to any Customer shall not exceed the amount paid for the consultation in question.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK GDPR regulations.
Video calls may not be recorded or shared by either party unless explicitly agreed in writing.
8. Code of Conduct
Both Customers and Designers are expected to:
- Communicate respectfully and professionally.
- Attend consultations on time.
- Dress appropriately and conduct sessions in a quiet, private space.
- Refrain from recording sessions unless agreed in writing.
- Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate behaviour.
Violations may result in removal from the platform.
9. Amendments to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via our platform and will take effect upon posting.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
