A little about me

I am Ingy, interior & textile designer and creator of Oh Jeanne! 

I am a free-lancer based in Milan since 2012, currently working on designing online and meeting my clients through the web.

My e-projects services include mood boards, design concepts, space planning (2D floor plans, furniture layouts) colour schemes & more through various software and creating free-hand renderings through coloured perspectives.

In addition, I offer face-to-face consultancy meetings and on-site visits if necessary, in Italy and around Europe.

During those years in Italy, I found inspiration for my projects from various European architects & artists. These influences together with my multi-cultural background of Egyptian, Lebanese, and Armenian origin inspired me to create a distinct representation of their philosophies.

With 4 languages on my belt (French, English, Italian and Arabic), I have delt with clients from Europe and outside of Europe working on residential projects, hotels, retail spaces, stores, and offices.

My design philosophy

In general, I like to offer visual comfort and quality. I believe art plays a big part in it and adds a big value to the space! So, I aim to insert artistic elements like painting, sculptures and play with colours.

I like the contemporary style, mixed with a traditional touch. I also remain impressed with the French /eclectic interiors with high ceiling, and the mix between modern and vintage furniture.

The design process and consultation

Starting from the creation of a basic design that will match all the needs and aspects of the project, togheter we will arrive to a refined, feasible and well thought of product. We will go from the concept phase to detailed specification list, through harmonious solutions that save time and money.

These following deliverables give the client the freedom to further on realise the project alone, hire another interior architect/contractor or proceed with me for a full interior design service.

-Concept Board: is a board explaining the direction of the project through art, design, and architecture references that would be translated further on into actual mood boards

-Mood Boards: I prepare mood boards to visualize the space with an idea of the colour scheme, furniture, lighting, and finishes.

-2d Furniture layout showing space zoning and circulation.

-3d Renders & Free-hand sketching: a virtual colored overview of the spaces

-Paint colour and material selection: In-home consultation focused on paint and colour only.

-Shopping list or ff & file for materials and finishes specs: a file containing specific suggestions for furniture and other items in the space with links or board.

In addition to the above I can also provide a full interior design service upon agreement with client. The service includes all the above mentioned plus the following:

-Construction plan: architectural drawings (plans and elevations), electrical, lighting, plumbing specification that will be submitted to the contractor for them to start the construction phase.

-Follow up and coordination 

-Site visits and face to face meetings

-Managing orders and scheduling deliveries
